Generous portions
I've had take out food from here before and it was ok. I had family visiting and decided to sit in. The service was very good but a little too fast. I had the beef roast dinner but it was very overcooked and had obviously been sitting around for a good while beforehand. I won't be back there again.
The veg which accompanied my roast beef- it smelled like bilge water, and the cauliflower had a gritty consistency. So I ate no veg. We ordered one portion of chicken nuggets and chips for our children to share but two were dropped down, which increased our bill. The pints of Guinness tasted fizzy. I won't be in a rush back.
Service was great, staff were really friendly and helpful. We did not have food ourselves but what we witnessed being delivered to nearby tables looked amazing. Large portions. As I said we were only there for drinks but will definitely return to try the food and for all the Guiness drinkers out there this is definitely the place to drink it in Lough Rea.
